Autumn Events
Autumn holiday celebrations for Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot took place in the Jewish Community of Bălți
The celebration of Rosh Hashanah is always accompanied by engaging and inspiring events for our beneficiaries, and this year was no exception. On the eve of the holiday, volunteers and project participants gathered under the roof of our center to welcome this wonderful celebration together—the New Year. Guests enjoyed a rich festive program and delicious refreshments.
The event began with a ceremonial opening, during which our community leaders addressed the audience with warm wishes. Then everyone joined in prayer and recalled the symbolism and traditions of the holiday. After that, to the sound of the shofar, each participant had the opportunity to reflect on the beginning of a new chapter in life, to assess past actions, and perhaps to rethink and re-evaluate them.
During the festive program, volunteers spoke about the traditions of Rosh Hashanah, led engaging themed games, and reflected on important moments of the outgoing year. Guests were then invited to a traditional holiday table featuring apples with honey, pomegranates, sweet challah, and other customary dishes. People exchanged congratulations, shared kind wishes, and enjoyed warm, friendly conversation.
The celebration of Sukkot was also held in a warm and inspiring atmosphere. This was largely made possible thanks to guests from the Soroca community, who came to share the joy of the holiday. Our volunteers made every effort to delight the beneficiaries: they decorated the hall, set festive tables, and created an engaging program.
Cheerful melodies filled the room, and participants happily joined in—singing, dancing, and enjoying familiar tunes. Laughter and relaxed conversation enhanced the festive spirit, creating an atmosphere where everyone felt surrounded by true friends. We thank our volunteers for organizing these celebrations and congratulate everyone on these wonderful and long-awaited holidays!
