Anniversary of Kindness
A birthday is always a special date—and even more so when it’s a milestone for a senior.
As part of Good Deeds Day 2025, RVC launched a very meaningful initiative called “Anniversary of Kindness”, aimed at bringing warmth and care to our dear seniors celebrating milestone birthdays alone, without their usual circle of family and friends. It’s no secret that for elderly people, attention is perhaps the greatest gift—but our volunteers also prepared other thoughtful, pleasant, and useful presents!

A total of 15 volunteers took part in the initiative, including both newcomers and experienced participants. Together, they carefully planned each visit to ensure the birthday celebrant received the maximum amount of positive emotions. Gifts included theater tickets, flowers, and sweet treats—but the most important gifts were the heartfelt wishes, smiles, and genuine conversations, without which no true birthday celebration is complete.
Some volunteers organized festive tea parties for their recipients, complete with cake and warm conversations around the table, where, as tradition dictates, the birthday celebrant sat at the head. These visits became more than just a respectful gesture—they turned into heartfelt reunions with friends, kindred spirits, and chosen family, all of whom make a true celebration complete. They were a reminder that the birthday honorees are remembered, loved, and cherished.

The “Anniversary of Kindness” initiative was made possible thanks to the support of our partners, who provided wonderful gifts for our dear celebrants. We also extend special thanks to our volunteers, who didn’t stand aside and wholeheartedly shared the warmth of their hearts with those in their golden years!
