A Holiday in Every Home
The volunteer team prepared and delivered 40 festive gift sets to lonely elderly people for Hanukkah.
As part of the “A Holiday in Every Home” project, our volunteers brought joy to elderly individuals living alone. A total of 40 festive gift sets were prepared, each including items significant to tradition: holiday treats, symbolic souvenirs, and a card with warm wishes to support the spirit of Hanukkah.
An important goal of the project, beyond simply delighting elderly people with gifts, was to show care and attention to those who especially need it. That is why the volunteers personally took part in assembling, packing, and delivering the gift sets. This hands-on involvement allowed them to establish personal contact with each beneficiary, making the holiday warmer and more heartfelt.
The elderly recipients accepted the gifts with deep gratitude, but the most valuable part for them was the attention and care, which helped them once again feel like part of our close-knit community. For the volunteers, the experience highlighted the importance of teamwork in bringing meaningful acts of kindness to life.
In total, 12 volunteers participated in the initiative, each contributing in their own way to creating a festive atmosphere for the participants. We sincerely thank everyone who did not remain indifferent to the needs of elderly people!
